Gardening Dream has published gardening content since 2019. This page explains how our articles are made and where we use technology in the process.
How our articles come about
Every article on this site starts with a person deciding what it should cover and why. We choose topics based on what gardeners are actually trying to solve, not from an automated keyword list. That editorial judgment is ours and it is not delegated to software.
How we use AI
We use AI tools in our workflow, and we think readers deserve to know where.
Where we use them: research and source gathering, first-draft structure, headline and title options, image alt text, and proofreading support.
Where we do not: we do not let a tool decide what we publish. A person sets the topic and angle, and a member of our team reads and proofreads every article before it goes live. AI is a tool that helps our team work, not a replacement for the people doing the work.
What that means in practice: we are publishing less than we used to, and more slowly. We would rather post twice a week and stand behind it than post twice a day and hope.
Images
Photography on this site comes from three sources:
- Original photography taken in our own gardens and by our contributors.
- Licensed stock photography from commercial libraries.
- AI-generated illustrations, used only where a photograph is impractical, and never presented as a photograph of a real garden, a real plant specimen, or a real result.
We are actively replacing AI-generated images with original and licensed photography across the site.
Accuracy and corrections
Growing advice is regional. Timing, hardiness and pest pressure vary by climate, and what works in one garden may not work in another. Where we can, we explain our reasoning so you can adapt it rather than follow it blindly.
We are strengthening how we verify horticultural detail, and every article we publish from now on is checked against a published source for zones, timing and plant identification before it goes live.
If you find something wrong, tell us at info@gardeningdream.com. We correct errors rather than quietly deleting them, and substantive corrections are noted on the article.
Health and safety
Gardening Dream is a gardening publication. We do not publish medical or health advice.
Some garden plants have traditional medicinal uses and some are toxic. Where we mention a plant’s traditional use it is as background, never as a recommendation to treat, cure or prevent any condition. Nothing here is medical advice, and you should not consume, apply or otherwise use any plant based on what you read on this site without qualified guidance.
Ongoing review
We are reviewing and revising our back catalogue. Articles that fall short of the standards on this page are being rewritten or removed. This is deliberate and ongoing, and the site will get smaller before it gets bigger.
