These are bush tomatoes. They grow, flower, and normally die afterward. If you are lucky they give you a second or third flush of fruit.

Growing Tomato Seedlings
We only really have to worry about growing Determinate tomato seedlings after the first year.
Often when you buy seedlings from a nursery or shop these can be a bit stunted. The reason for this is how industrial seedlings are generally produced.
I find that you are looking at about a week to start seeing green leaves appear, and if all goes well after two weeks you have perfect plants that are stretching and doing their thing.
